Regenerative Tourism
Leaving People and Places Better Than We Found Them
At Glamping with Llamas, we believe tourism should do more than simply minimise its impact. We believe it should create positive benefits for visitors, animals, the local community and the countryside.
For us, regenerative tourism is about helping people reconnect with nature, supporting local businesses, respecting animal welfare and encouraging visitors to leave with a greater appreciation of rural life than when they arrived.

A Different Kind of Escape
Modern life is busy.

Many of our guests arrive feeling tired, overwhelmed and in need of time to switch off.
Rather than creating a destination packed with activities and distractions, we've chosen a different approach. We encourage guests to slow down, spend time outdoors, enjoy meaningful conversations, watch the llamas grazing, listen to birdsong and experience the peace of the Norfolk countryside.
Many guests tell us they leave feeling calmer, refreshed and more connected with nature than when they arrived.

Animal Welfare Always Comes First
Our llamas are the heart of Glamping with Llamas, but they are never treated as attractions.

Their welfare comes before entertainment.

Guests are invited to spend time with the herd in a relaxed and respectful way, learning about each llama's individual personality, behaviour and care. We believe these experiences encourage a genuine understanding of animals rather than simply providing a photo opportunity.
Supporting the Local Economy
Whenever possible, we work with local businesses and encourage guests to discover the wider area during their stay.

We recommend independent cafés, restaurants, attractions, farm shops and visitor destinations throughout West Norfolk and the surrounding region, helping visitors explore beyond our farm and supporting the local visitor economy.

Our growing Llama Larder also aims to showcase quality local produce wherever practical, allowing guests to enjoy a taste of the region during their stay.

Caring for Our Landscape
As a working farm, we have a responsibility to care for the land that supports both our animals and local wildlife.
We maintain pasture for our llama herd, encourage biodiversity and continually look for opportunities to improve the environment for both wildlife and visitors.
Our aim is not simply to preserve the countryside but to ensure it continues to thrive for future generations.

Small Changes That Matter
Regenerative tourism is not about one big project. It is about making thoughtful decisions every day.
Examples include:

-
Encouraging direct communication with guests so we can personalise every stay.
-
Supporting local suppliers wherever practical.
-
Offering longer and shorter breaks to make countryside experiences accessible to more people.
-
Continually reviewing guest feedback to improve the visitor experience.
-
Investing in durable facilities and equipment designed to provide long-term value rather than short-term solutions
Thoughtfully Chosen Toiletries.

Throughout your stay you'll find a selection of carefully chosen products designed with both comfort and the countryside in mind. We provide complimentary Greener Lifestyle toiletries in renewable sugarcane packaging, alongside unbleached, recycled toilet tissue that is plastic-free, sustainably produced and gentle on delicate skin. These are just a few of the small choices we make to help reduce unnecessary waste while ensuring every stay remains comfortable and enjoyable.

Looking Ahead
We know there is always more to learn.

As Glamping with Llamas continues to grow, we will keep looking for ways to improve accessibility, support our local community, strengthen biodiversity and provide memorable countryside experiences that benefit both people and nature.

We hope every guest leaves with wonderful memories, a little more knowledge about llamas and rural life, and a renewed appreciation for the countryside that surrounds us.

If you have an idea we might not be aware of, let us know. All contributions are genuinely welcomed.
